Glad you found it helpful! I don’t know if you cannot apply a month ahead of time, but from what I read elsewhere the chances of getting approval are higher closer to start date. It might be because the visa is strongly dependent on working there and 30 days is enough for plans to change or fall through. A lot of people who moved either get company accommodation for first couple weeks or rent a sublet for few weeks and then look for long term accommodation after arriving. I know it can sound daunting to arrive so close to start date, but it’s not too bad at all! Gives you a good idea of what your commute would be like and you can get info from coworkers about neighborhoods before committing to a long term place!
